Will a Decocker fire?
Definitely. I believe it has the same setup as the P30. As others have said, the firing pin will not strike unless the trigger is pulled while the hammer falls. The point of the decocker is to allow the hammer to fall without engaging the trigger, thus not engaging the firing pin.

Registered. It certainly is possible to drop fire a 1911 – nothing holds the firing pin away from the primer but the firing pin spring, and inertia is a rule of physics, not a myth. A car accident, or dropping on the muzzle is going to make the firing pin move, if the angle is right.
